What this video downloader does

Instagram has no built-in way to save a video from the feed. FastDl fills that gap: it takes a link to a public post, finds the source video file and hands it to you as a normal MP4 you can watch offline, archive or edit. The engine keeps the sound, the full length and the resolution the author uploaded, and it does the same job on a phone, a tablet or a desktop, entirely in the browser.

Where the file ends up

  • On iPhone

    Safari saves the MP4 to Files; from iOS 13 you can send it straight to Photos and it behaves like any recorded clip.

  • On Android

    The video lands in the Downloads folder and usually shows in the Gallery a moment later.

  • On desktop

    Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari drop the file into Downloads. Double-click and it plays in any media player.

  • Sound included

    The MP4 keeps the original audio track, so music and voiceovers survive the trip. No separate audio download is needed.

Play fair with creators

Saving a public video for offline watching is normal use. Re-uploading someone's work without credit or using it commercially without permission is not. The copyright belongs to the person who posted the video, so ask first and give credit when you share.
