What resolution do downloaded photos have?
The same resolution the author uploaded. FastDl fetches the source file, which is usually much larger than what you see in the app.
Can I save all photos of a multi-photo post?
Yes. The engine lists every picture in the post so you can save each slide, or use the carousel module to grab them all at once.
Can I download a profile picture in full size?
Yes. Enter the username in the anonymous viewer and download the avatar at its full resolution.
Do I need an Instagram account?
No. Photo downloads work without any login, and your own account is never involved.
Does it work with private accounts?
No. Only public posts can be downloaded; privacy settings are respected.

Why not just screenshot it

A screenshot is a photo of your screen: it inherits your display resolution, crops the frame and doubles the compression. The FastDl engine takes the other route and downloads the file Instagram itself serves, so what lands on your device is the picture as the author uploaded it, at its real size.

Use photos responsibly

Saving a public photo for a mood board, a backup of your own feed or offline reading is fine. Re-posting someone's photography without credit or using it in ads without permission is a copyright problem. The picture stays the property of its author.
