Will the account owner know I saved their story?
No. FastDl loads stories anonymously, so you never appear in the viewers list.
Can I save a story after it expired?
Only if the author moved it to highlights. Live stories must be saved within their 24-hour window.
What format do saved stories have?
The original format: photos come as JPG, videos as MP4 with sound.
Can I download highlights?
Yes. Enter the username, open the highlights tab and save any clip from a public profile.
Do I need to log in?
No. The story saver never asks for your Instagram credentials.
Does it work with private profiles?
No. Only stories from public accounts can be viewed and saved.

Why stories need a saver

A story is the only Instagram format with an expiry date. Once the 24 hours pass, it is gone unless the author pinned it to highlights. The FastDl engine grabs the source file while the story is still live, so a spontaneous clip, an announcement or a memory you want to keep survives past its deadline.

  • Original file, not a recording

    Screen recording a story bakes in your notch, your battery bar and compression. The engine downloads the actual photo or video instead.

  • Anonymous by design

    Saving through FastDl does not add you to the story's viewers list; the request never comes from your account.

  • Highlights too

    Older stories that live in a profile's highlights can be opened and saved the same way, long after their first 24 hours.

Keep it fair

Stories are often personal. Save public stories for yourself, credit the author if you re-share, and never repost someone's story as your own. Private accounts stay out of reach: the engine does not bypass privacy settings.
